Where Trips Start
Every Saturday buses stop in several locations
including Canton, Westwood, Needham, Wellesley,
Weston, Newton, Cambridge and Lexington. Other stops
may be added if a sufficient number of members from
another area sign up.
The Mountains
We go to a
different mountain each week. In past years, we have
gone to Killington, Sunday River, Okerno, Stratton,
Loon, Sunapee, Bretton Woods, Waterville Valley and
many more.
Beyond the School Trips
Many schools sponsor evening ski and snowboard trips
to local ski areas. The Massachusetts Ski and
Snowboard Club takes day-long trips to New England’s
top mountains. If you are looking for more than the
schools offer, the Massachusetts Ski and Snowboard
Club is for you.
Lessons
Lessons are available for all members on selected
trips and are mandatory for all first year members.
Lessons are provided by the ski area staff. We
highly recommend that members take advantage of
lessons, no matter how high your skill level; there
is always room for improvement.
Adult Supervision
Each bus has 2-3 adults who supervise the bus trip.
The supervisors are on duty at the ski area to
maintain decorum, assign skiing partners, and assist
the skiers if asked for help at the base.
Supervisors rely on the cooperators of the ski area
for skiing conditions and restrictions. Since
1969 the Massachusetts Ski and Snowboard Club, Inc.
has demonstrated its responsibility to parents and
the skiing public by maintaining a high behavior
level among its members. |
